May 29, 2012: My weekly CTA column came out today. Every week, I spotlight a different CTA station, picked at random, in my “Stationary” feature. Last week, I was at the 35th/Archer stop on the Orange Line and noticed that despite the spikes, pigeons still make this station their home. This week I’ll be at the Francisco stop on the Brown Line.

May 25, 2012: I travel a lot on the weekends, so I find myself often riding the No. 77 Belmont bus to the Blue Line on Saturday mornings. On this particular morning, I caught glimpse of another rider’s previous meal at the bus stop: A half-eaten peanut butter cup, a Pepsi and the paper. Not my cup of cTa at that hour…

I write about the amenities I like at a station and those that could use change. Last week, I was at the LaSalle/Van Buren stop and noticed the Loop station, built in the 1800s, could use a paint job. This week I’ll be at the 35th/Archer stop on the Orange Line.
